The Ronald McNair Academic High School is a premier urban public high school whose bottom-line educational philosophy has been "Academic Excellence And Nothing Less." The main goal of Academic High School is to gain 100% college acceptance for our 400+ students. Over the years, we have achieved this goal. We offer fifteen advenced placement courses servicing more than 260 students or 65% of the students population. In the Advanced Placement Exams in 1994-95, Academic High School has had 8 Advanced Placement scholars achieving a grade of three or better, two Advanced Placement scholars with distinction achieving a grade of four or better. Because of our outstanding student body and a dedicated staff, New Jersey Monthly Magazine ranked Academic High School in the top third of the seventy-five best high schools in New Jersey in 1994, 1995, and 1996. In 1995-96 Redbook Magazine referred to Academic High School as one of the best in the nation. |
