Kingdom

The Roman Kingdom, remains to day a subject of speculation. With various sources showing a contradiction of orgins, the true nature of the founding of Rome is unclear, various theories include the Ancient explination outlined in the Aneid, and other Roman historical works. Sketchy details of the seven kings remain too. Little to no expansion was seen by the early kingdom.

The fifth king, an Etruscan by the name of L. Tarquinius Priscus, began a campaign of public works, including the construction of the Cloaca Maxima, the great sewer, and laying the beginings of the forum and the captioline temples, to transform the back water town of Rome into an Etruscan city-state, his plan backfired and Rome slowly began it's growth into the regent of the Mediterranean world.    The durinring the next king's reign the king, Servius Tullius, built an extensive wall encircling the original seven hills of Rome.
