Welcome to our site dedicated to atoms, quanta and the atomic nucleus. You can find here the elementary approach to the phenomena of the world that a human eye can't see - the world of the microstructure. Our Entry consists of descriptions of the physical phenomena, experiments, and theories. All of them are illustrated with many drawings, photos, animations, films, and interactive computer simulations. You can check your progress with interactive tests, which are also included. And as soon as you successfully complete this course you'll get a special certificate.

Our Entry consists of three main parts called the PATHS:

It is designed for these users who are "unattached to" the ideas of physics (and mathematics), but anyway would like to learn how the atom is constructed, what the quanta are, and what the profits of researching the world of microstructure are. Almost no mathematical formulas are included, everything is explained in the understandable language (no incomprehensible scientific jargon). All you need to know are only the basics of physics. And simple simulations will help you to understand and memorise the details. We encourage junior high school students to try to complete this course.

It is suitable for users knowing some physics and mathematics, but wanting to get more discerning knowledge about the laws ruling the atom. You can find here not only the descriptions of the phenomena but also mathematical derivations of the formulas (laws). However we still triy to keep the language as accessible as possible. Moreover you can find here also computer simulations, which will give you the opportunity of carrying out the experiments yourself. The red path is a helping tool for students completing their physics modules.

This is a collection of additional topics, designed for users interested in physics to help them increase their knowledge. More advanced knowledge is presented here in comparision with the yellow or red paths. We suggest the blue path being used by senior high school students if interested in physics, and above all college students. Or it even can be used by teachers, who perhaps will find here a bit of information and interesting facts they didn't know before.

You can get all the included simulations, films, animations, photos, and drawings collected at MEDIA.
