Introduction

Prolog

What do we mean with "an encounter with the exotic beauty of nature"?: The amazonía has always been considered the largest existing tropical jungle in the world. We are just a group of young Ecuadorans that wish to expose to the world this great treasure that belongs to all humanity. We tried to use a language directed to youths, though any person that wishes to obtain information can find it in this widely discussed topic.

The Amazon river is the most wealth river of the planet, by its presence the levels of rainfall are very high in the region, it is mostly located in the the torrid zone, a few meters above sea level , with a high temperature; all these factors, united, give to the planet a balance and give his zone an exxuberant vegetation, exotic fauna, flora unquestionably beautiful, incredibly beautiful landscapes, a treasure to be preserved.

All the work began when Carlos and I (César) found out that we could participate in a contest of creation of WEB pages. Right away Carlos told Patricio (the third teammater better known as Pato) and we formed this group. Under the tutorship of Rommel Puchaicela and Marisol Díaz, the WEB page savies Iván Pazmiño, the investigation counsel, we have achieved to create the page.

Synthesis

This investigation talks regarding natural and social aspects, in the natural aspects we have described in detail, that in addition to the flora and fauna, the natural problems of the zone produced by the entry of colonists and transnational oil companies. We begin first by describing this treasure that is possessed by the South American people, a person will never realize how this wonderful treasure was formed, in other words we could say that it is not found in the same chaotic world of our times, since being there the peace is total, there is a perfect communion between natives and nature; the man and the land are one.

Within the social aspects we tried to discover and investigate the wonderful culture that is seated in the zone, the natives of the place, according to many, they have not left the prehistoric age, since their way of life is incredibly different of one can imagine. We have investigated a culture with religion and unknown myths, some even mysterious. The following topic hat we discussed is encouraging the tourism in the zone, since we all have the right to live such a beautiful experience as is that of being in touch and in perfect peace with nature, among some splendid landscapes, of unique fauna and exuberant flora.

To end, we tried to find the problems of the zone, among them is the oil development, that although it is necessary, it has provoked great deforestation, in addition to other damages to animal and indigenous. A second problem is the drug traffic and the guerrilla that use the thick jungle to hide and be grouped, this problem primarily exists in Colombia.

Trascendency and Usefulnes

We consider this important work in the scientific and social aspects. As scientific work it will serve as help to students and to persons that wish to obtain information on the topic, furthermore, it creates a framework to accomplish new scientific investigations to reduce the social problems as well as the natural.

It is socially transcendent because by wanting to introduce tourism in a certain manner we are going to improve the way of life of these towns by a greater economic revenue using this route. Furthermore, if we achieve that new investigations are developed for the solution of problems, this also will help these towns .

Resources

To accomplish this investigation we had three kinds of resources: human, material and economic. The three were a little limited, because we could not accomplish a trip to the Amazon river, but we have tried to do our best to accomplish excellent work. Among human resources, already named, are the three principal researchers: Patricio Leon, Carlos Cevallos and Cesar Salazar, the instructors: Marisol Díaz, Rommel Puchaicela and Iván Pazmiño. Here are our photographs, if you wish more information you can send us an e-mail:

Objective

Generale Objectives

Upon beginning the work we had three general objectives, now there are four, we will talk about them briefly. First, to win the contest of the ThinkQuest (or to die in the attempt), second, to achieve the development of the tourism in the amazonía, third, the solution of ecological and social problems, and finally to create a wide source of reference to get to know and admire the amazonía.

Specific Objectives

To learn Java and Javascript language, in addition to improving the programming in HTML and dynamical HTML. To seek the information in as many web sites as possible, targeting a specific date, get together at least once a week to see how much we have acomplished, so that the tutors can teach us more about Java or Javascript. To do professional work when tranferring the text to HTML language, trying to put on the WEB the ideas and dreams that each one of us has. Since we were not able to obtain photographs directly, we want to obtain the permits so we can use photos and videos of other authors and companies.
