In our age, a time of increased technological activity, we come to face a situation which could threaten all of wildlife's foundations: habitat loss. There are several reasons for this loss:

Rising housing needs
Building patterns
Pollution
Increased energy consumption


Few understand that this is a problem that can be solved with combined effort and will, and instead will not do anything about it. Many leaders at all levels of government have neglected their home estuaries out of a lack of understanding of their importance to the local and regional economy and community traditions.
