Dredging, draining, bulldozing, paving

Many different kinds of habitat, from salt marches to sea grass meadows and shellfish beds, are being changed or destroyed completely by changes made by man, in countless activities that do not meet environmental safeguards. Land changes in favour of industrial developments and other activities, lead to the destruction of estuary values and of what rightfully belongs to the whole of the community.
