Welcome everyone! I am Abhishek Nair. I am studying in 11th grade in American International School of Bucharest. I come from Cochin, a cosy, bustling city in southern India. What am I doing so far away from India? Well, I've spent more than two-thirds of my life outside India. I have travelled to nine countries in three different continents. Yet, I have lived in each country long enough to enjoy and learn about each culture, traditions inclusive. Along the way, I have been able to make friends with a variety of interesting people. I am a voracious reader, and I seldom lose a chance to read some good sci-fi or fantasy fiction. My favourite authors include Isaac Asimov, Robert Jordan, Tolkien & Michael Crichton. Apart from reading, I also draw cartoons and paint, although I am an amateur in every sense. My favourite sports are cricket, volleyball and batminton. I also like cycling, especially during the long, sweltering Indian summers. By the time this website is open to the public, I will be in India enjoying a well-deserved break. Greetings everybody! My name is Stephanie Stavrinides and I am 17 years old. I come from a small beautiful island, Cyprus, the birthplace of Venus, goddess of love and beauty. For the past 2 years I have been living in Romania and attended the American International School of Bucharest. Attending an international school has been a very interesting experience for me as I have been exposed to a broader world with a variety of cultures, ideas, religions and beliefs. in these last two years I have learned to understand and work with all kinds of people, no matter how different they are from me. In my free time- apart from studying for the international Baccalaureate and keeping myself busy with extracurricular activities-I travel around. I have already been backpacking around Europe twice, covering every inch of the continent , from Irish pubs to Greek beaches. I also find the opportunity to travel through the different conferences I attend. Deeply interested by the United Nations, and as a firm believer, I attend different conferences and workshops which have the aim to improve the different bodies of the UN and to establish international peace and security.
