Here in the Triassic period, the generally warm climate encouraages mammals to make their first appearance. Early species of evergreen trees dominate the Triassic terrain.

Most dinosaurs during this period are small and quick with bodies from 10 to 15 feet long. These dinosaurs have short legs and wald close to the ground like lizards.
