Illimani

    Illimani, mountain in western Bolivia, just south of La Paz, in the Cordillera Oriental range of the Andes Mountains. The snow line lies at about 4570 m (about 15,000 ft) above sea level, and glaciers are found on the northern face at 4983 m (16,350 ft). The mountain has four main peaks; the highest, Nevada Illimani, rising 6462 m (21,201 ft) above sea level, is a famous ascent for mountain climbers.
