Neptune - courtesy NASAMuch like on Uranus, Neptune has an oddly oriented magnetic field. It is tilted 47 degrees from the rotation axis and shifted around 0.55 radii (about 13,500 kilometers or 8,500 miles) from the center of Neptune. Rather than caused by Neptune's sideways orientation, scientists think that the cause is by the motions of conductive material (possible water) inside the planet somewhere in its middle layers.
