American Beaver Castor canadensis Kuhl
The American Beaver is an aquatic rodent with webbed feet, a scaly fan tailed and light brown fur. They live in dense thickets along river or lake banks. It hibernates in its den made of sticks and mud in the winter. The den's entrance is under the water, where they swim up and enter the den.

American Beaver Alligator mississippiensis
The American Alligator is the biggest reptile in North America, with the males growing up to nineteen feet and beyond. It has a wide rounded snout,and each bottom tooth has a place in the upper jaw for a tighter closing mouth. The scales are on his tail and the rest of the body except for the soft under-belly. It's head is large and the eyes and nostrils protrude. When under water a cover goes over his eyes. His ears have valves for opening and closing.

Black Bear Ursus americanus Pallas
The Black Bear has a shiny black or brown coat,and is a medium sized bear who claws are adapted for climbing, and a brownish colored snout. During the winter the bears hibernate; in the spring they wake up. The Black Bear used to be all over Texas, but now is restricted into some areas where humans have taken over.
