Sometimes you need to make a horizontal separator to
separate between two paragraphs or two different subjects or points. To place one, follow
the next steps...
- Click the Insert menu from the menu bar.
- Choose Horizontal Line.
To place a clip art
- Click the Insert menu from the menu bar then choose Clip
Art. The following window will appear...
- Choose the clip you want from the category you want then click Insert.
To place a symbol
while you are writing your text maybe you need some
symbols like "©" for copyrights, "" for trade marks, etc.; to
place one, follow the next steps...
- Click the Insert menu from the menu bar then choose Symbol.
The following window will appear...
- Choose the symbol you want, then click Insert.
- Click Close to close the window.
To insert a file
If there is a text file written and you
want to include it in your site you can use insert file. FrontPage also supports HTML
,HTM, ASP, HTX, HTT, OTM, RTF, DOC, WRI, WPS, XLS and XLW files format. To insert a file,
follow the next steps...
- Click the Insert menu from the menu bar then choose File.
A browsing window will appear.
- Choose the file you want to insert, then click OK.
To place an active element
I-Marquee
A marquee is a scrolling text box like this one: (note:
the Marquee will not appear except in Microsoft Internet Explorer!) To place one,
follow the next steps...
- Click the Insert menu from the menu bar, choose Active
Elements then choose Marquee. The following window
will appear...
- Set the Marquee text and other properties as you like, then
click OK.
- To change its settings, just double-click the marquee.
II-Video
Inserting a video isn't preferable unless you have a
high speed access to the internet, just because of the video format that can be placed in
a normal page which is AVI format. Microsoft FrontPage98 also supports Real Media formats
like RA and RAM. To place one, follow the next steps...
- Click the Insert menu from the menu bar, choose Active
Elements then choose Video. A browsing window will
appear.
- Choose the video file then click OK.
HTML TAG
It's better here to select the object you want to know
its HTML TAG after putting it with the FrontPage, then click the button found at the bottom of the FrontPage window
beside the horizontal scroll bar. You'll find the HTML TAG of the object selected, read it
well, then observe the function of each command. |
