The Future of Medicine is a wonderful resource for teachers and students in grades 9-12. This site is an online database that focuses on topics that are related to the future trends in medicine. Through the main topics which are illustrated by graphics, pictures, charts, diagrams and tables, students will be given an in-depth view into this topic.

The main topics

With consideration that students may have difficulties in comprehending technical terms included in the site, keywords in the text are highlighted and linked to the glossary. Students can then choose to have the definition read out by clicking on a special icon. After going through the main topics, students may be challenged with the quiz. This is a multiple choice question page with a self-set timer. Teachers or students may adjust the time limit according to their ability.

The interactions and games

For interaction, students can express their ideas and thoughts in the message board, real-time chatroom, voting booth, the Q&A page. Navigation is made easy through the site search and the site map. Games are also included in this site, namely a word search game, a slide puzzle game and an interactive population graph page.
