People infected with HIV/AIDS in 1998 was a total of 5.8 million. 5.2 was was adults and under the age of 15 was 590,000. HIV is a main reason of birth defects. Our health and standard living is horrible because of the HIV virus. The growth rate will drop by the year of 2010. The disease rate rises everyday. Medicine in the poor countries is very slim.
