Team 28281 is consisted of three members : Stephanie Lau, Fiona Lau and Manas Mittal. We also have a team coach, Mr. Thomas Man. Our team members come from very diverse cultural background. Sometimes it is not easy to strike a balance between the diversity of opinions we have reached but this is also a very valuable lesson in collaboration and it further enhanced and enriched our site.

The technological difference was a great obstacle in our project. It was necessary to keep track and update each member's work frequently. As Manas only has access to very slow and unstable internet connection, sometimes we have to make certain adaptations such as spreading out one conversation over several days due to numerous interruptions. Because of this we often had to start a discussion all over again since our thoughts were disturbed. However we have also gained a very valuable experience in trying to overcome this technological problem.

While working on this entry the team not only shared work but also knowledge in this profound topic. Through making some of our assumptions and hypothesis based on materials we have read, we benefited a lot as we have to deal with a subject in which many questions have yet to be answered by professionals in this field.

Our team comprises of members from two very different countries. Stephanie and Fiona are from Hong Kong and they attend the same school. You may wonder how we could have got in contact with Manas. Stephanie met Manas during the Junior Summit '98 organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Nov 98. She was the representative from Hong Kong while Manas was representing India. They were in the same team which was responsible for investigating possible ways for thin computing to develop.

We made use of several communication programs to collaborate on page design and contents in real time, and these discussions were essential in coordinating our efforts and making work as a real team.
