If you are interested in getting your private pilots licenes they are several steps in obtaining it. The first is to get a physical by a FAA selected Avation Medical Examiner. The first physical will clear you ot start learning, but if you continue flying you will need to renew your physical at least once every two years.
The second part to obtaining your license is to learn to fly. I reccommend going to a local airport and seeing if there is a flight school you can enroll in. After you have enrolled you will need a total of 40 hours flight time before you get you license. This flight time will be punctuated by regular ground lessons and tests on those ground lessons. In the actual flight training you will train with an instructor for a minimun of 20 hours. After this you will be tested and then you will solo for another 20 hours. After you complete your ground lessons, minimum flight time and can pilot a aircft to your instructors satisfaction you will go up for you final flight test and written test.
