eB4T - The Trip to Jamaica 7/29/99 - We arrived home safely from our two week visit in Kingston, Jamaiaca... On the Airplane Shown on an airplane on the longest flight from Austin, Texas to Kingston, Jamaica (with stops in Dallas, Texas and Miami, Florida). All three fired up their laptops, and played digital music through their headphones... They received some odd looks from other passengers! From left to right... Sarosh Wahla, Melissa, and Jory. Click to see bigger picture. Makonnen's Dreads Check out this shot! Yes, it only shows the backs of Melissa Sconyers and Makonnen, but its a great photo of Makonnen's dreadlocks. Melissa is in the green, and Makonnen is... well, the one with the dreads! The arm in the blue shirt belongs to Sarosh Wahla. :) Click to see bigger picture. Strawberry Hill This is a breath-taking shot of the Jamaican moutains, and was taken at Strawberry Hill. The greenery was amazing... And WOW, what a view. eB4T had a blast visiting Strawberry Hill, and so did the the two TechSchoolers that came along (Sarosh Wahla & Maja Milicevic). Click to see bigger picture. Hard At Work Here is the eb4T team, shown hard at work on eBiz4Teens on their laptop computers in the hotel... Surfin' in Jamaica Makonnen is shown on the beach with the TechSchooler brothers Ini and Ishack Wilmot's surf board. Melissa, Jory, and Sarosh all took turns using the board... Nobody ever actually got up on their feet though, so it was mostly "body surfing"... But we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves anyway. Click to see bigger picture. Makonnen At Church Makonnen is shown hanging out at the Ethiopion Orthodox Church with his friends (the pastors). They were very nice to all of the eB4T team, and we had a terrific lunch there. They invited us to come back next time we were visiting Jamaica too. We are looking forward to seeing our friends there again! Click to see bigger picture. Makonnen At Church Here is Makonnen again at the Ethiopion Orthodox Church. This turned out to be a wonderful picture of Makonnen! You can really see how many dreadlocks are on that head of his... During the trip one of his dreadlocks fell out, and he tied three ribbons to it (representing Jamaica's colors and presented it to Melissa as a souvenier. Click to see bigger picture. Learning the Calender One of the pastors at the church is answering Melissa's little brother's (Justin) questions about their calender, which is different from all of the calendars that Justin has ever seen.
