A Note to the General Reader
First of all, we would like to thank you
for visiting our project. This entry aims not only at acquainting the general
reader with diving, but also at provoking interest in this challenging
sports activity. The team has attempted to introduce diving to the public
and, at the same time, to provide an in-depth look with special emphasis
on the various aspects of this sport. Starting
from the history of diving, covering virtually all kinds of diving procedures,
and adding a scientific viewpoint, the project is tailored to any Internet
user. Although the project has no particular bias to specific audience,
it is especially suitable for classroom lessons, for students who wish
to broaden their knowledge on the subject and browse through interesting
facts and details. Other educational objectives are to provoke discussions
and to draw public attention towards this sport. Our goal is to get people
involved in the topic. We have done our best in order to present the subject
matter in a comprehensible style so that more people will be able to explore
the wonderful new world of diving. We hope that we have succeeded in creating
a valuable entry.
The Site
Let us now provide you with some technical
specifications:
-
We would like to emphasize that this project
can be viewed with various browsers. We have tested the performance on
different major browsers that are most commonly used by an average Internet
surfer.
-
Although we recommend that you view this project
at a screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels, other resolutions will also
allow you to access the content of this site. This, however, may result
in deterioration of the images and the HTML web site layouts.
-
In order to make navigation through the project
as easy as possible, we have created left-hand side menus that contain
links to the main categories and sub categories of the project. Thus, you
will be able to easily navigate throughout the whole site.
-
Right-hand side banners provide additional
information such as the title of the current section and curious facts
that are relevant to the category itself. Thus, reading is made fun and
a better comprehension of the subject matter is ensured.
-
Upper right-hand side icons provide links
to the Diving Search Center, Glossary, and the current web page.
As you see, we have done our best attempting
to present Diving in the most attractive, and at the same time, comprehensive
style.
Once again, thank you for visiting this
project. Please sign our guestbook to let us know that you have been here. |
