The Myriad Races in Fiction Fantasy.....

For Fiction Fantasy to have its allure, it must be filled with interesting characters. Dragonlance does this well, with its characters coming from many different fantastic races, uniting in a common goal to defeat the Dark Queen. Besides humans, Dragonlance has common fictional races such as Elves, Dwarves and Ogres. However, Dragonlance is also filled with other special creatures too: the kender, curious thieves; the gnomes, tinkers of machinery; the gully dwarves, or Aghar, disgusting, dirty creatures; and the minotaurs, strong people, half-man, half-bull. And of course, the dragons, great, beautiful flying beasts, with the ability to cast spells and breathe fire and other interesting material depending on their colour (Silver Dragons emit a paralyzing cone of frost, while Green Dragons breathe out poisonous gas). Also, Dragonlance is special in the aspect that the common fantasy races (Elves, Dwarves, Ogres) are all further sub-divided into different classes so as to add a special touch that is all Dragonlance's.

In Dragon Prince however, there is no other race but that of the humans, but it is special in the fact that there are special people like the Isulk'im, strange, half-mad, crazy people, known as the Swift Ones, who are friends of the Desert, and are descended from the Desert people as well. Also, there are the Merida, known as Gentle Glass, who wield glass knives filled with poison, professional assassins of the sorcerers. There are also the Vellant'im, a strange force of barbarians that persist in attacking the Desert. They are known as the Swordborn. And of course, who could forget the Sunrunners and sorcerers? They are the ones that truly make the story wonderous, with their strange blend of sunlight and starlight, creating a new magic in this beautiful tale of Fire.

And lastly, in Heralds, the humans mainly dominate, with their strange mind-magic, but there are still those interesting creatures from the Pelagirs, formed through wild magic, creatures that are dangerous and deadly, but also very strange and unique.

All these races are new and different, each author will have his or her own special group of races, and so, each series is different, a new group with every new tale.
