Flint the old dwarf
Name: Flint Fireforge
Race: Dwarven metalsmith (Neidar)
Born: In the town of Hillhome
Life: Flint was born in AC 212, near the Khalkist Mountains, and is the oldest of the Heroes. He was an artisan in his younger days, and even had the honor of being invited into the elven forest city of Qualinost by the Speaker of the Sun, Solostaran himself, commisioned to work his arts in woodcarving and metalsmithing. It was here that he first met Tanis Half-Elven, a youth then, lonely and depressed. When Tanis had to leave Qualinost, Flint went with him, the two outcasts of the elven city journeying towards the town of Solace, soon becoming fast friends. In Solace, Flint soon became a father figure to the Majere brothers, Caramon and Raistlin, who had lost their family then, and taught Caramon the art of fighting when Tanis was away. He also met Tasslehoff Burrfoot in Solace, and although he constantly made a show of how much he hated the kender, Flint was actually quite fond of the little guy, and valued his companionship greatly. He was actually an old softie at heart, although he acted gruff at times, so as not to show how much he loved his friends. However, Flint was an old dwarf after all, and his family suffered from a weak heart malady, so it wasn't surprising that Flint died of a weak heart during the Heroes' quest to defeat the Dark Queen. Fizban, who was then travelling along, took Flint's body and brought him to Reorx's forge (just a guess), where Flint spent his days sitting under a tree near Reorx's forge, whittling wood and muttering about "that doorknob of a kender", constantly awaiting Tasslehoff's arrival.
