A Brief Introduction.....

Dragonlance.....

" A land filled with mystical beings, magic and steel combined in glorious battle....."

            Welcome to the world of Krynn, where the Dragonlance stories often occur. A world full of adventure and danger, a world full of darkness and light, with neutrality to balance them. Many stories are told of the famous Heroes of the Lance, of how they defeated the Queen of Darkness, Takhisis and drove her back into the Abyss.

            Okay.....in case you have never read Dragonlance before, we shall try to explain what is going on. Many Dragonlance stories, which are written by Margeret Weis and Tracy Hickman, revolve around the lives of the 9 main characters, Tanthalas Half-Elven (Tanis), Flint Fireforge, Sturm Brightblade, Caramon Majere, Raistlin Majere, Kitiara Uth-Matar, Tasslehoff Burrfoot (Tas), Riverwind, and Goldmoon. There are other sub-characters that join them on their journeys, such as Lauranalanthalasa, Fizban, Tika, and many others. Anyway, the books mainly talk about their history and how they all met, and how they realised that the world they lived in was being slowly corrupted, for all the true gods had seemingly left Krynn, and the people had to fend for themselves. The story gradually unfolds, and builds up to an eventual confrontation with the Dark Queen (who is also known as the Five-Headed Dragon, the Dark Temptress, and the Dark Warrior) Takhisis, where one of the Heroes' companions, a man called Berem, who has a green gemstone embedded in his chest, manages to drive the Dark Queen back into the Abyss by sacrificing himself. (A little like Huma of the Lance)
