- He was attacked by arraignments about his wartime conduct but these did not hinder Laurel from pursuing services to his people.
1952 - he established the Lyceum of the Philippines and assumed its presidency.
**An alluring aspect of President Laurel was his deeply-rooted affection for his wife and mother.
When his two loved women died, it took away much of the happiness
that inspired him in his life.
November 6, 1959 - The eminent patriot died
