Where: Tanauan, Batangas
Father: Soreto Laurel
- was a recognized lawyer and one-time Undersecretary
of the Interior of Aguinaldo's revolutionary cabinet

Education:

  • He was a problem child but during his formative years he was able to set right his ways.
  • He served as an Altar-boy to support his family in his schooling
  • He completed High School with Honors
  • University of the Philippines - he took up law:
    • Graduated with distinction
  • Attained three doctorates in the Feilf of Law

    Politics:

    • In the hope to sustain the stability of the country, he acceded to head the "Puppet Government" Indeed, it was a suffering dilemma.
    • He was attacked by arraignments about his wartime conduct but these did not hinder Laurel from pursuing services to his people.

    1952 - he established the Lyceum of the Philippines and assumed its presidency.

    **An alluring aspect of President Laurel was his deeply-rooted affection for his wife and mother.
    When his two loved women died, it took away much of the happiness
    that inspired him in his life.

    November 6, 1959 - The eminent patriot died
