THE WINDS PAGE
Ruling winds are the northeast and southeast trade winds resp. above and beneath the equator. There is also a ruling westwind at the middle latitudes the pole winds originate at the poles. The name of the wind indicates where it comes from. A westwind comes from the west.

CYCLONES
A cyclone is a large area of low air presure around which the air moves in the direction of the earth rotation. Cyclones in higher latitudes are called depressions. Small cyclones occur. They are called wind-spout. At low latitudes(between 5-10 degrees N.L. and S.L) tropical hurricanes develop. Tropical hurricanes are also called cyclones. The tropical cyclone is faster then windforce 12(More then 32 m/s). In the caribian it is called hurricane, tyfoon west of middle America. In SoutheastAsia they call it cordonaros and in Australia it is Willy willies. Cyclones only occur above seawater that is hotter then 27degree Celcius.
A tornado is a fast spinning tube of air which is often visible beneath a thunder storm. It looks like a funnel shaped trunk. The tornado goes with the thunderstorm and leaves behind a trail of destructions. Sometimes the tonade contains objects sucked up from the earth. The visible trunk consists of waterdrops. Te wind speeds go to several hundreds kilometers per hour. The noise is like a trian going by!
Tropical tornado's or tropical cyclones develope as soon as the temperature of the ocean water around the equator comes above 27 degrees Celcius. That is why they develope particularely after ther summer. Are you willing to travel in the caraibian, it is not unwise to observe the weather forcast. Beside the winds there is a lot of rain: no holyday weather at all!
where do tropical cyclones come from
Tropical cyclones come mostey from the western African coast. We talk about a cyclone when the wind is over 118 km/h. A cyclone is full of hot air in the middle of cold depression.
