Equuleus

Star References Equuleus
1. Delta Equulei: A close binary with virtually identical components of mag. 5.2 and 5.3 and of the same spectral type. Their orbital period is about 5.7 years. The distance between them has been calculated to be slightly greater than the distance between the sun and Jupiter.
2. Gamma Equulei: An optical double, divisible with binoculars, with components of mag. 4.7 and 6.1.
3. Epsilon Equulei: A multiple star shown in a small telescope as a double with components of mag. 5.2 and 7.4. The brighter star is actually a close binary with an orbital period of 100 years. It cannot be separated with small apertures, but may be divisible with larger telescopes.
