Leonardo Fibonacci (ca.1175 - ca.1240)
Leonardo Fibonacci, the Pisan mathematician for which the series is named, made several significant mathematical contributions in addition to his series.

Édouard Lucas (1842 - 1891)
Édouard Lucas is the French mathematician for whom the Lucas Series is named. He is also known for the puzzle he created called the Towers of Hanoi.

Jacques Binet (1786 - 1856)
Binet's Formula was named after Jacques Binet. Though Binet is famous for what he contributed to mathematics, he was also an astronomer.
