Ham Radio - Scanners

Scanners are devices like communication receivers that allow you to listen and scan certain frequencies. You cannot transmit with a scanner or pick up radio stations from far away. Scanners are great for local activity.

Using Scanner 2 (1:08)

This scanner has buttons with preset frequencies so you can just press the "weather" button and you'll get weather. In this scan we also picked up what appeared to be modem or fax signals.
