What are they?

Scorpions are small animals that are dangerous and have a poisionous sting. They are not insects.

How do they live?

Their body has two parts - Cephalothorax having head and thorax and Abdomen. They have six pairs of legs in the former part. The hind part is an abdomen with the last six segments forming a slender tail. They have stings.

Scorpions have six pairs of joint appendages. The first pair have pincers, the second is large with claws and is used to crush prey's after catching them. The last four are the legs ( makes sense. If even one more pair had a diffrent function, they might not have been able to walk). They have six to twelve eyes - as per species

Food

Scorpions eat insects, spiders .They are most active at the night. Their sting is a curved organ and the end of it's tail. The two glands at the end of it's tail give a poision flowing from two pores and are used for defence or killing prey.
