The Olympic Motto: "Citius, Altius, Fortius." - Faster (Swifter). Higher. Stronger.
The motto was devised by a friend of de Coubertin's, a Dominican monk, Father Henri Didon. It expresses the message to all that belong to the Olympic Movement to excel in accordance with the Olympic spirit.
