The Olympic Motto: "Citius, Altius, Fortius." - Faster (Swifter). Higher. Stronger.
The motto was devised by a friend of de Coubertin's, a Dominican monk, Father Henri Didon. It expresses the message to all that belong to the Olympic Movement to excel in accordance with the Olympic spirit. Also, this motto is to encourage all athletes on to ever improving their performances. It is often used with five (5) coloured rings, in the Olympic symbol. Related Links: Also: |
