Connecting hardware to the control panel

See the exploded diagram below for guidance in properly attaching the hardware.

  • Attach each switch with the bolts provided (the holes on the switch are threaded) in the appropriate opening in the control panel. Place the switch against the back of the panel and insert the bolts through from the front. Be sure each switch is in the proper opening and in the up direction is correct.

    Attach the jacks in the proper openings with the nuts provided on the jack. Again, make sure that each jack is in the correct position.

    IMPORTANT! Solder the ground tab on the RCVR OUT jack to the back of the Control Panel.

    The entire back is conductive this ground connection may be made by soldering the tab directly to the back of the control panel or a wire may be soldered to the tab and then to any location on the back of the control panel.

    Pass the antenna terminal wires through the opening from the front of the panel. Secure with the nuts and bolts provided. Check to make sure that the antenna terminal with the red wire is not touching the metal part of the control panel.

    Attach the potentiometer using the nut and washer provided on the shaft. Place the tab in the hole to properly align the control knob. Attach the control knob to the shaft using the set screw.

    Attach the PCB spacers in the indicated holes with the screws provided. Attach the battery clip in the indicated hole using the nut and bolt provided.
