This is a new webpage !

] Pascal invented the first digital calculator called Pascaline to help his father to collect taxes. It took him 3 years (1642 - 1645) to make the calculator. However, his calculator is ceased to be used in 1652 due to the problem in its design.

] He began experiments on atmospheric pressures in 1646.

] He managed to prove that a vacuum exists in 1647, a year later.

] Pascal observed that pressure of the atmosphere decreases with height and deduced that vacuum exists above the atmosphere.

] Pascal considered conics central projection of a circle.

] Pascal's work on the binomial coefficient lead Newton to his discovery of the general binomial theorem for fractional and negative powers.
