Looks like you won’t be getting that passport after all. Your only other option is to stow away on a boat or a plane. You have to stow away! Planes and boats are exporting goods to Australia and New Zealand. You know you have to get to an airport or a port. But the nearest ones are in Beijing. Luckily, it’s not that far away from your village. But it would be about two days walking. You’re not sure you can walk that far. Of course, you could get a lift from someone. But the village is littered with bodies, and there’s no-one in sight. You’ve just had an idea. You couldn’t hijack a car– could you ? No, that wouldn’t work. But you could borrow a bike.
