German Nazi dictator born in Austria. Leader of the Nazi Party from 1921. He was the author of Mein Kampf or "My Struggle" (1925-27) He became leader of Germany and became infamous for the extermination of Jews during World War II. On April 29, 1945, when Berlin was largely occupied by Soviet forces, he married his mistress Eva Braun in his bunker under the chancellory building. On the following day he committed suicide with her.
