The Moon
Many people often stare at the Moon and are fascinated by it. Some people believe they could see shapes and pictures in its surface. Recently, telescopes and space flights have shown us what is really on the moon, craters, mountains, and maria (vast basins of lava). Everybody has their own story on how the moon originated, because we are not sure if it was part of the Earth, and broke off, or formed elsewhere and was later captured by the Earth's gravity.
