Astronauts
In order for an astronaut to become official, he or she must perform many tasks. Astronauts work inside and outside of the shuttle to help practice for the real flight in the vast reaches of space. There are simulation programs that also help them train. All astronauts undergo at least 18 months of training to get used to weightlessness and acceleration. This requires intense physical conditioning.
