You recognize the onset of a heart attack, and you promptly follow
the heart attack survival
instructions. You'll be just fine, this time.
But how do you know when you are having a heart
attack?
Contrary to popular to belief, there are more signs than simple
chest pain. Some of these are:
- Feeling of tightness in chest
- Shortness of breath
- Numbing of extremities
If you are diabetic, you may experience no chest pain at
all. It is important that you recognize the earliest signs of a
heart attack, so you can stop it in its tracks with a minimum of
damage to your heart.
Action must be taken immediately, as irreversible damage occurs
just three minutes after bloodflow ceases to the brain, and the
heart begins to deteriorate.
