Health

Visitors must be vaccinated against yellow fever if they come from or have within the preceding six days passed through any infected country. Malaria is mot common here, but there have been cases of dengue haemorrhagic fever, which is mosquito-borne like malaria and can be fatal. A gamma globulin inoculation 9 against hepatitis A is recommended. A cholera vaccination is unnecessary. As health regulations can change, you should check before departure with any Singapore Tourist promotion Board office or Republic of Singapore Embassy or Consul or your travel agent.

It is quite safe to drink from the tap on Singapore. If you come from a temperate climate, you should drink more fluids than usual, as you will find yourself sweating a lot and will suffer from dehydration.
