Introduction
Science fiction is seen by some as the literature of the century, yet it is one of the least appreciated genres. Some see it as being elitistic, forever caught in the technojargon and never getting anywhere, but what is more troublesome is that some see it as plain superficial entertainment. Both of these viewpoints may hold some truth in some cases, but science fiction should not be judged so easily.

This project is a study of science fiction, ranging from the factual to the verge of outright philosophical. In all, it is an attempt to reveal the true nature of this scientific art form.
