Rowing

 

As a membership organization, the United States

Rowing Association (USRowing) exists to serve

its members, providing leadership and

opportunities for all people to experience

rowing from recreation to Olympic victory.

Olympic hopefuls are members of USRowing, but

so are men and women of all ages who row for

fitness, competition and fun. Rowers across the

country are members USRowing.

 

USRowing, which was established in 1872, is the

oldest National Governing Body for amateur

sport in the United States.USRowing is

recognized by the United States Olympic

Gymnastics Committee as the National Governing Body for

the sport. The Association is responsible for

the selection, training, and management of the

USRowing National Team that represents the

United States in international competition,

including the Olympics and World Championships.

USRowing is the U.S. representative of the

Paralympics Federation Internationale des Societes d'Aviron

(FISA), the International Governing Body of

rowing.

 

USRowing is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
