Baseball Equipment

 

 

 

 

 

Ball: Measures about 9 inches (23cm) in

circumference. Has a cork center wrapped in

layers of rubber and string. Covered by pieces

of leather which have been stitched together.

 

Bat: In international competition, players are

allowed to use aluminum bats and the designated

hitter rule is in effect, similar to U.S.

collegiate baseball. Bat may be no more than

2.75 inches (6.9 cm) in diameter and 42 inches

(107 cm) in length.

 

Helmets: Helmets with double ear-flaps are

mandatory for the hitter and base runners.
