History of Robots.

Years ago robots weren't taken too seriously because people used to think that robots are much like toys, but after time hurried by the great importance of robots and their big role in our lives appeared and grew much bigger.
Karel Capek is the first inventor for a robot and that was in the 1920. Karel Capek is a Czechoslovakian playwriter who wrote a play called R.U.R standing for ( 'Rossum's universal robot'). In the Czech language the word 'robota' means statue labour , that is compulsory labour. In Capek's play, Rossum and his son develop anthropomorphic machines as servants for humanity.

  • The developments in robots world through the ages:
At the beginning of the invention of robots, it made an explosion in the science field. Scientists began to compete and study more to develop robots that would help them in other fields. In 1932, a robot called Alpha was shown in London that can read, bow, tell time, sing and smoke cigars. In the 1939 two robots appeared one in the shape of a boy called Elektro and the other in the shape of his dog called Sparky. They were the greatest hits at that time in New York World's Fair. Both had many abilities that seemed to be the most incredible technology.

This is Alpha the old robot in England

There are olso some scientists that created robots that could think a little. William Grey Walter is one of the scientists who created a thinking robot . He made two robot turtles, Elmer and Elsie . They could move around without bumping into things.

Soon after the invention of the Mobots which are mobile robots that can move or be moved robots began to be used in factories, labs, under sea or even in space.

But the most incredible invention that opened the way for the great developments in technology to populate and be raised to the level the robots are on today is the invention of the I.Cs that changed the usage of robots and computers from enormous machines to very simpler ones.
