HealthCare

One of the main applications that robots have an effective part in is the medical application. Noticing that robots don't have emotions to feel about sick people , but they serve them in a wide range to facilitate thier lives.
For example:
Brian L. Davis (1984) was the first to consider how robots might be employed to help the severly disabled.
The powered arm robot attatched to the wheelchair was the first thing to serve them using robotics. Then it was developed to a telescopic arm for mounting on a powered wheelchair accompained by voice to facilitate thier mobility and respond to thier orders without doing energy to move it .

These wheelchairs were designed to give saftey aspects to the patients and help them with feeding or turning the pages of a book or a magazine.
Another function for robots nowadays is leading blind patients through the way. The Japaneese were able to design a robot called MELDOG which acts as a guide for blind people. This robot has a computer memory carrying in it a detailed map of the ttown and carries sensors to go on with it's work. It leads the user automatically with the required speed for saftey.
At the beginning of the year 1989 scientists began to want robots more involved in medical applications as running on surgeries. So doctors and robot engineers began to setup brainstorming sessions . Saftey considerations were taken into account while developing some of these ideas.
Robot surgeons were examined to ensure their saftey and to investigate the robot abilities
It was noticed that in a simulated prostate operation a robot succeded with a blade speed of 40 000 rpm and an excellent comprehension of three dimentional tasks achieved an accurate operation in a minimal time (5 mins.) while the human sureon takes about the same operation .
Scientists say that developed robots could assist surgeons iin various ways.
Now adays robots are very successful in the eurosurgeries operations giving amazing results.
