BIONICS - in an formed from biology and technique - is a still recent science discipline, in which biologists and technicians co-operate interdisciplinary. With plants and animals one finds mechanisms, which are superior to the technical solutions of humans. They were optimally adapted and perfected by nature over billions of years. BIONICS tries to take over ideas from nature for the technique. It encounters impressing parallels between biology and technique and has already often been a birth aid for technical solutions. By reproduction of biological principles one can receive an efficient solution, which fits at the same time into the nature. If one speaks of gentle technique today, does this usually with a side view ot biology. The idea to crib from and mechanisms from nature into our technical world transfer from nature, is, however, by any means not new. It already fascinated humans, since the mytholotical Ikarus rose with wings from bird feathers and wax into air and, according to the legend, fell to the ground because of the heat of the sun. |
