Of all
the problems that have arisen from
[allotransplants] and [xenotransplants], the most
complicated and major one, is rejection.
Rejection
is the response by the receipients' immune
system. To the human body's system, any foreign
body within the human body is considered a
threat. Therefore, the system responds by
attempting to kill off the foreign bodies.
The
biggest challenge to transplantation of cells is
overcoming rejection. Because there are few
physical limits to organ transplant, therefore,
by tricking or paralyzing the immune system,
success would be achieved in organ transplant.
