Student
develops Web site as radiology guide
THE 16-YEARS-OLD
NEPHEW OF A well-known Italian radiologist has developed a Web site
to educate patients about medical imaging. Niccolò Dalla Palma of Milan
devised the Web site, "Radiology:
the eyes that look into our inner body" as part of an international
competition. His coworker was David Kilcher from Basel. The site is
easy to navigatearound and available in English, German, Italian and
French. "We decided to choose a medical subject and finally chose
radiology because we were both interested in this subject and we both
wanted to know more about it", Dalla Palma said. Dalla Palma's uncle,
Prof. Ludovico Dalla Palma of Trieste, was a committee member of the
European Congress of Radiology throughout the 1990s and the driving
force behind the Halley training project for East European doctors.
