D eforestation, around the globe, is happening at a terrible rate. According to recent estimates, an area of rainforest equivalent to six football pitches is being lost every minute. Is it that the rainforest is useless and has not contributed to society in anyway? No, certainly not. In fact, the rainforest has done so much for mankind that if there were no rainforest, you and I wont even be breathing today. Moreover, it is sometimes because of something useful that the rainforest bares that leads to its deforestation.
