Structure of Rainforest

B eing one of the main characteristics of the rainforest worldwide, the high temperature and precipitation rate can also cause problems that can threaten the rainforest's existence. For example, if the amount of water in the rainforest is not carefully controlled, the excess water would leech out most of the valuable nutrients and minerals present in the soil. Fortunately for nature, trees and plants in the rainforest have developed special adaptations and characteristics to deal with the harsh conditions they may come across, in this case the constant deluge.

The rainforest whether in temperate or tropical regions generally consist of 4 layers. Each layer has a unique set of environmental conditions and organisms adapted to them.
