LESSON 9

Flowers
by Katrin Shumakov

At folding these flowers the wonderful opportunities of the base forms are used which allow easily to receive volumetric and nice model.

The recommended size of a paper 20 x 20 cm.

FLOWER

1 Make creases on diagonals.

2 Turn over and make two creases.

3 Now square should look at you, at which the diagonals are bent by "mountain", and other lines - "valley". If it so, continue - reduce lateral corners, simultaneously resulting the top corner to bottom.

It is one more way of folding of the basic flower form.

4 Valley fold the bottom lateral sides to the central line, and then fold the top of model as shown. Unfold them.

5 Bend the bottom corner of the top layer inside before crossing the top horizontal bend with a vertical line. Repeat for other three flaps.

6 By opening creases, insert lateral corners inside.

7 The result.

8 Valley fold the top layers upward. Repeat behind.

9 Valley fold right-hand layer over to the left. Repeat behind.

10 Repeat step 8.

11 By undertaking by fingers for opposite corners, circular movement reduce them downwards. This action should be done some times, is consecutive for each pair of corners. Thus the flower as though slowly is opened.

LILY

11 To make a Lily, do not make a step 5 - bending of corners.

Changing the size and color of a paper, you can create the large variety of flowers.

LEAF

Leaf folds from the 1/4 square used for folding of a flower.
1Valley fold a sheet on diagonals.
2 Valley fold the lateral corners to the central line.
3 Montain fold the bottom corners to the central line.
4 Valley fold the opposite corners to the centre as shown.
5, 6 Result.

STALK

The stalk is going from a long strip of a paper of a green color.
1 Valley fold a paper half-and-half.
2 Turn and give a stalk the bent form.
3 Glue to the stalk leaves and insert it into the hole in the bottom of the flower.
