3 Kusudamas & Simple Rose
traditional models

First gives classical kusudama model, which easily develops in two others and flower. The kusudama consists of six modules.

The recommended size of a paper for each module - 20 x 20 cm.

1 Valley fold a sheet half-and-half on a vertical. Unfold it.

2 And on a horizontal.

3 Valley fold the lateral sides to the centre line.

4 Valley fold the top and bottom sides to the centre.

5 Valley fold the model on diagonals.

6 Open model as shown in the next step.

7 Press the model in a point marked, fold lateral flaps in the direction shown by the arrows.

8 Repeat the previous operation with the bottom.

9 Open out and squash the four trangular points neatly, so they meet in the middle and make four small squares. Press the paper flat.

10 Valley fold the inner two edges of each small square over, so they lie along their respective square's middle fold-line.

11 Open out the inner edge of the each small square and smooth it down neatly into triangles.

12 Montain fold the corners of model.

13 Module for a kusudama is ready.

14 By folding 6 modules, glue together them among themselves in a sphere as follows: 4 on equator and 2 on poles.

If, since 10 steps to go by other ways, two more variants of the module will turn out.

Kusudama"Star"

11 Opening each of four squares, simultaneously bend back corners of model.

12 Of such modules the kusudama similar to a star turns out.

 

 


Kusudama "Bouquet of Roses"

11 Mountain fold the corners of model behind. Start at middle rolling tightly each petals on a thin cylindrical subject, for example, pencil or handles.
12 Internal corners too can be rolled.
Also it is possible to make the same module of a paper of the smaller size and to insert it into the large module.

It is possible to make of this module a simple amazing rose!
