In Ancient China, where more than 2000 years ago, the paper was invented. This event has huge event, because the paper, is a unique material having property of folding. So the opportunity for birth of art of folding of a paper has appeared. More than 1000 years ago in Japan the secret of manufacturing of a paper has become known. The ancient technology of manufacturing of a paper is kept in Japan down to today. There is a very strong and expensive Japanese paper "washi", which maintains huge set of creases. Traditionally in origami it is accepted to fold models from a square of a paper. But now origami - artists use for their projects a paper of the diversified shapes: a rectangular, triangle, polygon and even a circle. The special paper for origami having a various colouring is now made. The paper happens two - colour and one-colour, various weight and format. Colour paper for copying well approaches for origami. For example, the majority of models, submitted in Oriland are folded from a paper DataCopy Colours by MoDo Paper. We focus our origami on a wide audience of the adults and children, which love to make something of a paper by the hands. Hence, we should find a suitable material - safe, strong, colourful, inexpensive - to recommend it to these people. The models from it fold beautiful and accurate. We use A4 and A3 formats of DataCopy paper of a wide colour palette. On our experience of weight of 80 g/sq.m is optimum for origami. Katrin and Yurii Shumakov |
