Origami represents unique art. You can quickly take possession of it, folding various models. The engineering of folding is very simple. For short time you can learn to fold rather impressing models, for example, kusudama. In painting you need to study by years to take possession of engineering, whether you even can copy pictures of the great artists? It is not known. In week of diligent lessons of origami you already can repeat incredibly complex and attractive models, simply following the instructions and diagrams. Why it is possible? Because in origami the way of transfer of skills from the teacher to the schoolboy had very fast evolution. Earlier, when the books on origami yet were not, this art was transferred from "hands to hands", that is from the master to the apprentice. Then the first book "Senbazuru Orikata" (Folding Thousand-Cranes Talismans) in 1797 has appeared, in which the attempt was made to transfer a way of folding through image and description to it. In our century in the Nippon Origami Association (NOA) the alphabet of origami - character set is developed, with which help it is possible to transfer folding of model of any complexity. The huge role in it belongs to the recognized master of origami - Akira Yoshizawa. Basic element in folding is the crease. Only simple crease! And the various combinations of such creases can can result in a most charming origami - creation, in a charming paper sculpture. Only your hands, paper and creases! So, if you have fold a paper half-and-half, you will see on a sheet a crease. Consider the attentively folded sheet of a paper. You will see only one crease, but the kind of this crease differs from two parties of a paper. It is the basic secret of origami. The crease only one, but from one of the sides of a paper it looks as a mountain, and with another - as a valley. It is necessary to understand that this most important from the very beginning. There is one crease and two its kinds - Mountain and Valley. For a designation of these "mountains" and "valleys" in the alphabet there are special lines, if you remember them, then the reading of the diagrams will be very simple. Only your hands, paper and creases "Mountain" and "Valley"! Try! We wish successes! Katrin and Yurii Shumakov
